SBB’s implementation of interactive traffic control Print E-mail
SBB’s Rail Control System (RCS) implements state-of-the-art technology as the basis for dispatching.

Since 2008 SBB has been using this new system in its traffic supervision and control centres to monitor and dispatch train traffic. RCS uses data that is much more detailed than in earlier systems and allows, in particular, the use of precise locations in dispatching and more reliable forecasts. RCS also allows transmission of up-to-date speed profiles to the driver’s desk in real time.
