Service intention: a helpful metric for planning and dispatching decisions Print E-mail
The implementation of transport services on very dense networks must integrate a number of technical and operational parameters.

Should operational disturbances occur, the new concept of “service intention” helps to quickly orient decisions based on travellers’ needs and to provide the best possible train service. The definition of this new “decision support tool” and its characteristics will be followed by a presentation of practical implementation examples.
